A new leak reveals that the highly anticipated Navi 22 graphics cards from AMD, namely the Radeon RX 6700 XT and Radeon RX 6700 might arrive by the end of March 2021.

New AMD Radeon RX 6700 Series Leak

The latest information about the upcoming AMD Radeon 6700 series graphics cards comes from CowCotLand. According to the French site, its sources claim that the upcoming products could launch at the end of the first quarter of 2021. In November, several reports pointed that the AMD RX 6700 series might launch in January 2021.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 Series Specs

CowCotland also mentions that the AMD RX 6700 series features the Navi 22 GPU with up to 2560 SPs or 40 Compute Units. Considering this, it is likely that the AMD RX 6700 XT graphics card would offer half of the stream processors of the company's RX 6900 XT flagship graphics card. It is also rumored that the said card would feature 12 GB of memory with a 19-bit memory bus.

Meanwhile, the non-Xt AMD Radeon RX 6700 is expected to feature 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. Rumors have it that it is one of the reasons behind Nvidia's aggressive push of its RTX 3060 with 12 GB memory even though it previously launched the 8 GB 3060 Ti model in December 2020.

A few months back, a leaked photo of the AMD Radeon RX 6700 series reference design surfaced. It revealed that the upcoming graphics card series features a dual-fan cooler design with up to two 8-pin power connectors. It is also believed that the said graphics cards equip the PCIe Gen 4 Interface.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 Series Price

For its price, Wccftech mentioned that the upcoming graphics card series might sell for less than $500. This way, AMD could place its Radeon cards in line with the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti. The site added that while the new cards cost the same as its predecessors, which are the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700, it offers a much better efficiency number and performance.

AMD has not yet said anything about the release date of the Radeon RX 6700 series. However, rumors have it that the company might unveil the RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT at its keynote at the upcoming CES 2021. if this happens, there is a great chance that the release date of the graphics card series would be announced as well.
